Scriptures on resentment, anger, and unforgiveness(monthly meditation)

I made a monthly plan for myself to work on different aspects of love. I put my focus on working on one thing a month. My focus this year is leveling myself up not only physically but spiritually. I don’t want anything to get in the way of what Yah has in store for me and for future blessing. My intentions are to clean out any fifth within my heart. Anything from past hurts, disappointments, and wrong-doings made by others that I allowed to affect me negatively. This month of January is working on any hidden resentment or unforgiveness.

From studying emotions and how negative emotions leave a major effect on the body. Negative emotions store in the body will cause dis-ease in the body and mental illness(Will do a separate article on that soon). This not only impacts you physically but spiritually you will be out of alignment with the higher power (Yah). Which he calls us to be perfect like he is perfect. How can we be a light to others, if we have darkness within us?

‘Rather, love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting none in return. And your reward shall be great, and you shall be sons of the Most High. Because He is kind to the thankless and wicked ones. “And do not judge, and you shall not be judged at all. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned at all. Forgive, and you shall be forgiven.’

(Luke) 6:35,37

‘“Be wroth, but do not sin.” Do not let the sun go down on your rage, nor give place to the devil. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and displeasure, and uproar, and slander be put away from you, along with all evil. And be kind towards one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as Yah also forgave you in Messiah.’

(Ephesians) 4:26-27,31-32

‘But now, also put off all these: displeasure, wrath, evil, blasphemy, filthy talk from your mouth. Therefore, as chosen ones of Yah, set-apart and beloved, put on compassion, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, patience, bearing with one another, and forgiving each other if anyone has a complaint against another, indeed, as Messiah forgave you so also should you.’

(Colossians) 3:8,12-13

‘Tremble, and do not sin. Speak within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah.’

(Psalms) 4:4

‘“And as you wish men should do to you, you also do to them in the same way.’

(Luke) 6:31

‘ Abstain from displeasure, and forsake wrath; Do not fret, also to do evil.’

(Proverbs) 19:11

‘Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. If possible, on your part, be at peace with all men. Beloved, do not revenge yourselves, but give place to the wrath, for it has been written, “Vengeance is Mine, I shall repay,” says Yah. “Instead, if your enemy hungers, feed him; if he thirsts, give him a drink, for in so doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.’

(Romans) 12:17-21

‘“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father shall also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither shall your Father forgive your trespasses.’

(Matthew) 6:14-15

‘“And if your brother sins against you, go and convict him, between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not hear, take with you one or two more, that ‘by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word might be established.’ “And if he refuses to hear them, say it to the assembly. And if he refuses even to hear the assembly, let him be to you like the nations and a tax collector. Then Kĕpha came to Him and said, “Master, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Yah said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.’

(Matthew) 18:15-17,21-22
