  • Training A Child Up On The Way They Should Go

When I think about children, I think about how they are like sponges. Their joy and abundance of love they have. Not only are they curious about the world around them, but really just taking in every bit of information that comes their way.

We as parents are the gatekeepers of what we allow our children to absorb.

If we teach them the ways of the Most High, they will grow towards righteousness. But, If we allow others that are not in alignment with Yah, the media, and the world to teach them; It will lead them to be corrupt.

    1. Teach Prayer

It’s never too early to teach them how to pray. I started praying with my daughter as a toddler. She learned how to lift her hands up to the Most High as a babe. Try prayer and talking to your child about Yah. They are absorbing all that you are saying to them. Don’t be surprised if they start praising Yah out of the blue

    2. Daily Talks

Talking with your child first thing in the morning throughout the day helps them stay in line. You can talk to them about expectations, the commandments, how to behave, and tasks for the day. Children need constant repetition on what to do so that they can be trained in that way.

    3. Discipline

Children need to be corrected as soon as they error. If you don’t, that can lead them down the path of continued error. You don’t have to resort to butt whoopens right away. You can start by talking with them and explaining to them why it was wrong, and how to correct it. When they continue to do that error after you’ve talked to them, then that’s when the rod can come into play. You can also incorporate a rewards system so that they can be encouraged to do the right thing on a continuous basis. Show your child appreciation and love when they are doing things right. It will make them want to do it more.

    4. Reading and teaching the word

How will they know about Yah if you don’t teach them? I’m not only talking about shoving it down their throat all the time but actual embodiment. I mean, them seeing you embody how it is to serve the Most High. Children not only learn by mouth but really by example. Their first teachers are the parents. As the saying goes,” The child is a reflection of a parent”. You can definitely look at your child as a thermometer of how you are acting.

    5.Spending time together

They are not going to remember what you give but the time spent together. Make time with your children. Bond with them. They will remember and cherish these moments when they grow older. A lot of childhood trauma comes from how parents dealt with their children. Be a positive and active influence in their life to remember.

Who would have thought that you can use basic ingredients that are used for multipurpose to get your clothes squeaky clean? You only need to spend $20-30 for 1 year worth of detergent. That’s a lot of money being saved. Most of these items I found on Amazon, but you can definitely find them at Walmart or other stores.

  • Scriptures on resentment,anger, and unforgiveness(monthly meditation)

I made a monthly plan for myself to work on different aspects of love. I put my focus on working on one thing a month. My focus this year is leveling myself up not only physically but spiritually. I don’t want anything to get in the way of what Yah has in store for me and for future blessing. My intentions are to clean out any fifth within my heart. Anything from past hurts, disappointments, and wrong-doings made by others that I allowed to affect me negatively. This month of January is working on any hidden resentment or unforgiveness.

From studying emotions and how negative emotions leave a major effect on the body. Negative emotions store in the body will cause dis-ease in the body and mental illness(Will do a separate article on that soon). This not only impacts you physically but spiritually you will be out of alignment with the higher power (Yah). Which he calls us to be perfect like he is perfect. How can we be a light to others, if we have darkness within us?

‘Rather, love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting none in return. And your reward shall be great, and you shall be sons of the Most High. Because He is kind to the thankless and wicked ones. “And do not judge, and you shall not be judged at all. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned at all. Forgive, and you shall be forgiven.’

    (Luke) 6:35,37

‘“Be wroth, but do not sin.” Do not let the sun go down on your rage, nor give place to the devil. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and displeasure, and uproar, and slander be put away from you, along with all evil. And be kind towards one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as Yah also forgave you in Messiah.’

    (Ephesians) 4:26-27,31-32

‘But now, also put off all these: displeasure, wrath, evil, blasphemy, filthy talk from your mouth. Therefore, as chosen ones of Yah, set-apart and beloved, put on compassion, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, patience, bearing with one another, and forgiving each other if anyone has a complaint against another, indeed, as Messiah forgave you so also should you.’

    (Colossians) 3:8,12-13

‘Tremble, and do not sin. Speak within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah.’

    (Psalms) 4:4

‘“And as you wish men should do to you, you also do to them in the same way.’

    (Luke) 6:31

‘ Abstain from displeasure, and forsake wrath; Do not fret, also to do evil.’

    (Psalms) 37:8

‘A man’s discretion makes him patient, And his adorning is to pass over a transgression.’

    (Proverbs) 19:11

‘Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. If possible, on your part, be at peace with all men. Beloved, do not revenge yourselves, but give place to the wrath, for it has been written, “Vengeance is Mine, I shall repay,” says Yah. “Instead, if your enemy hungers, feed him; if he thirsts, give him a drink, for in so doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.’

    (Romans) 12:17-21

‘“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father shall also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither shall your Father forgive your trespasses.’

    (Matthew) 6:14-15

‘“And if your brother sins against you, go and convict him, between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not hear, take with you one or two more, that ‘by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word might be established.’ “And if he refuses to hear them, say it to the assembly. And if he refuses even to hear the assembly, let him be to you like the nations and a tax collector. Then Kĕpha came to Him and said, “Master, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Yah said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.’

    (Matthew) 18:15-17,21-22

‘“And whenever you stand praying, if you hold whatever against anyone, forgive, so that your Father in the heavens shall also forgive you your trespasses.’

    (Mark) 11:25

‘Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all transgressions.’

    (Proverbs) 10:12

  • How I fit cleaning into my schedule

As a stay at home single mom, It can be daunting at times to manage the home and do the things you need to do make money. I want to make sure I’m tackling the things I need to tackle without burning myself out or extending my time that can be used for other things. Here are some tips that help me.

    1. Pick a day

Pick a day when you can really get down to the nitty-gritty of cleaning. For instance, my days are Wednesdays. On Wednesdays, I do basic cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, wiping things down, vacuuming, laundry, and dusting. I believe if you dedicate a day to do a major cleaning, it will totally make life easier.

    2. Use your time wisely

Put specific time aside that day to focus on cleaning. To really save time, it helps to clean-up throughout each day. If you do this, it prevents a huge load dumped on you on your dedicated cleaning day. So do your best to keep things tidy every day.

    3.Do what’s important

Don’t stress yourself about doing everything. Especially as a single working stay-at-home mom your time is limited. Focus on the places that get dirty the most and leave everything else for another time if you have to. It’s all about making things work for you and not for it. Hey we are not here to be stressed out because that’s not life at all ” I’m just sayin”
