  • Manipulation in children

Children have a way of using their essence to get what they want like a woman. The thing is a child at first don’t recognize their actions as manipulation because they haven’t been taught. Since I’ve gained an understanding of why manipulation is a sin, I’ve been catching my daughter on her behaviors and correcting them.

    1. .Repeat the same thing

When your child repeats the same thing over and over again you eventually do what they want you to do.

Example: I told my daughter that I will do any activity with her later. She continues to say out loud,” when are we going to do an activity, activity, activity!” By repeating herself, she thinks I will do it right now when she wants me to.

    1. 2. Try to persuade you

They will try to sway your opinion on not to do something

Example: Your child says I will clean my toys if you let me play longer.

    1. 3. Nudge you in a certain direction

Not being direct, but passive to get their way

Example: Huffing and puffing or making noises to get your attention to do something.

    1. 4. Using their voice and body language

Fixing their face either it’s displeasing or sweet and using gestures to get what they want.

Example: Your child tugging at your clothes with big doe eyes to get you that toy they want at the store. You tell them not now, but they insist on using these tactics to get what they want.

Both genders can be manipulative, but daughters have a way of doing this times 10. I’ve come to realize these actions of submissiveness start as a child. if not corrected, your child will grow to be entitled and learn to not subject themselves to leadership under their husbands.

So, don’t think you to hard on them. For I thought the same, but it’s necessary to raise them up on the way they should go. If not, they will subject themselves to the mindset of the world and you see how that’s a failure.

If I’ve missed something or you have additional input, feel free to share it in the comments.

  • Manipulation sabbath lesson

    Introduction:

    • Say Prayer
    • Say 10 commandments
    • Share what you’re grateful for

Manipulation: any attempt to sway someone’s emotions to get them to act or feel a certain way.

Willfulness: having or showing a stubborn or determined intention to do as one wants regardless of the consequences of effects.

Read 1 Chron 10:13- Saul dies because instead of waiting on Yah. In his willfulness, he sins and seeks a medium for guidance(to get his way)

Read 1 Sam 15:23- Yah rejected him because rebellion is like the sin of witchcraft

    Rebellion= Willfulness

Read or Summarize the story of jezebel– she used manipulation and willfulness to get what she wanted through Ahab. She played like she was submissive but a puppetmaster stirring the direction over her head Ahab

    Overview for children

    • State the times on how children use manipulation
    • Explain the importance of why it’s wrong and why it goes against Yah
    • Ask them in what ways they can avoid being Manipulative/willfull.
    • Explain to them how they can really avoid it: subjecting themselves to the order of Yah, how children should seek to please the most high by their subjection to their parents—not formulating their own will and desire.

    Activity: Scenario with toys

Use your children’s toys to play out these scenarios. Then explain the wrong way to respond and the right way to respond.

    1. You ask your child to go do their chores. Child wines, pout, or stomp away because they don’t want to do it. Or wants to do it on their time.
    2. You ask your child to wait until after dinner to get their dessert. Child repeats themselves on getting a dessert after you said what you were going to do.
    3. The child tries to bribe you to do something in exchange for doing what they asked you to do.

Overall: A child needs to know that trying to get their will by using their expressions, emotions, and words is manipulation. It’s not having a heart of obedience nor is it pleasing to the Yah because it reflects on how you treat him.

  • Submitting in all things

~Being like Sarah in how she called Abraham Master & submitted to him when in the presence of Pharoah and the Assyrians.~

A lot of us think that submission is optional. That “I” only submit under the “right conditions”, but like Yah requires complete obedience, the marriage reflects Yahs order.

Look at the example of Abraham when he didn’t question Yah about sacrificing his son Yisqak ~Gensesis 22. He showed his love for Yah through his submission in all things and got rewarded for it.

We, women, have to stop playing the fence on this. Yah requires us to be helpmeets and keepers at home. One of our sole purpose in life is to be a helpmeet to a man and raise a righteous legacy.

Yes, Yah can use women for other things as well, but our focus is on what we were created here to do. Why don’t you think that it says,” We can win our husbands without a word, but by our conduct” ~ 1 peter 1-2? Staying in our roles no matter what shows who we sere. If the man is doing wrong, It’s not our place to mother him or put him in his place, but by prayers and obedience, Yah will stir the direction of your husband because of your Righteousness. You don’t know if what your husband is requiring you to do”that seems wrong” is what Yah is not telling him to do. You are supposed to submit to his authority.

Now listen, I’m not saying it’s ok to follow your husband into sin. I would suggest asking your husband if he’s in the truth about it and showing him humbly in the scriptures about it. If your husband genuinely follows the most high he won’t lead you to sin willingly. If he’s not in the faith, keep striving in righteousness if you can still work it out.

Our submission should not look like the world version.

~The gate to the kingdom is narrow but wide is the gate to hell~Matt 7:13-14

We should serve our masters on earth as doing it onto Yah

Let us not be a stumbling block to our husband, children, or ourselves and strictly focus on what Yah requires from us.

  • Being a keeper at home

Many of us woman has bought into the lie of wanting to be something outside of our true purpose

    We are told:

    -We don’t need a man

-We can do what men do

-We are equal to a man

    -We can do everything

    Etc…

All these things have been a setback in building up strong families. We’re taught that being like men will make us successful and attract men. Although, the results have shown the opposite. Now we are dealing with an imbalance that throws the whole dynamic out of wack. Men are backing down or turning away from women in a union. They don’t feel like they should be a man and give the benefits to a woman that shows they don’t need them. The lack of polarity gives little inspiration and drive to a man to play his role with passion. We are left with pride, arrogance, and willfulness in modern women. Traditional women have become non-existent in the western world. The mindset left from embodying the feminist ideologies in this society has left a lot of women ineligible to be wife material. The lack of a moral compass has made a lot of women want to wander about the world like a harlot. Leading to plenty of soul ties, trauma, children out of wedlock, diseases inability to pair-bond, and most importantly being less likely to be a help-meet to one man. Thus passing down the baton to their children to perpetuate the same cycle. I’m not saying a modern woman doesn’t have a chance, but accountability plus repentance with the highest that she can change her life around.

~The High Yah calls us to be a woman like Sarah

~The older woman is supposed to teach us the same instead of teaching us what not to be

Our power is walking in our feminity. A woman has the power to tear down her home and that’s what a lot of modern women are doing

    We are supposed to be

    • Meek
    • Chaste
    • Shamefacedness
    • Lovers of Yah
    • Strive to be the Proverbs 31 attributes

This is what our men need. A man of Yah will find this more valuable than all.

We suppose to do what Yah requires because it pleases Yah and we are doing it for him.

If we can’t remain in order and have self-control over our lives, how will we deem worthy of a role in the kingdom with Yahshua?

  • Training A Child Up On The Way They Should Go

When I think about children, I think about how they are like sponges. Their joy and abundance of love they have. Not only are they curious about the world around them, but really just taking in every bit of information that comes their way.

We as parents are the gatekeepers of what we allow our children to absorb.

If we teach them the ways of the Most High, they will grow towards righteousness. But, If we allow others that are not in alignment with Yah, the media, and the world to teach them; It will lead them to be corrupt.

    1. Teach Prayer

It’s never too early to teach them how to pray. I started praying with my daughter as a toddler. She learned how to lift her hands up to the Most High as a babe. Try prayer and talking to your child about Yah. They are absorbing all that you are saying to them. Don’t be surprised if they start praising Yah out of the blue

    2. Daily Talks

Talking with your child first thing in the morning throughout the day helps them stay in line. You can talk to them about expectations, the commandments, how to behave, and tasks for the day. Children need constant repetition on what to do so that they can be trained in that way.

    3. Discipline

Children need to be corrected as soon as they error. If you don’t, that can lead them down the path of continued error. You don’t have to resort to butt whoopens right away. You can start by talking with them and explaining to them why it was wrong, and how to correct it. When they continue to do that error after you’ve talked to them, then that’s when the rod can come into play. You can also incorporate a rewards system so that they can be encouraged to do the right thing on a continuous basis. Show your child appreciation and love when they are doing things right. It will make them want to do it more.

    4. Reading and teaching the word

How will they know about Yah if you don’t teach them? I’m not only talking about shoving it down their throat all the time but actual embodiment. I mean, them seeing you embody how it is to serve the Most High. Children not only learn by mouth but really by example. Their first teachers are the parents. As the saying goes,” The child is a reflection of a parent”. You can definitely look at your child as a thermometer of how you are acting.

    5.Spending time together

They are not going to remember what you give but the time spent together. Make time with your children. Bond with them. They will remember and cherish these moments when they grow older. A lot of childhood trauma comes from how parents dealt with their children. Be a positive and active influence in their life to remember.
